East Anglia Regional Group: includes members in Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire

We set up our regional group in 2013 and (with the necessary breaks during lockdowns) have had monthly walks since then. Walks are on the second Sunday of each month (5-10 miles). Each summer we also do evening walks, usually alternate weeks and generally 3-5 miles with a pub visit included. Ideas for walks and activities are welcome and we love members to suggest and ‘lead’ new walks or old favourites if they wish to.

We aim to organise at least one regional trip a year away from the region, and several of our members regularly join national trips to Scotland, Wales, Cumbria and elsewhere. Our activities and altitudes range from the Norfolk Broads and summer walks with sea swimming, to winter Munros in Scotland.

We also have occasional Socials. These have included barbecues and a Christmas lunch each year.

Most of our members are in or near Norwich so our regional walks tend to be in Norfolk although we sometimes venture further afield for our Sunday walks and anyone from the eastern region is welcome. Please get in touch with our Regional Contact if you are interested in joining us or want to find out more about our group or our regional walks.

We have an active Facebook page on which details of all our walks are posted along with a photo record of most of them.
